Camp Nou details and attendances

Barcelona FC’s home stadium is Camp Nou (stands for “a new field”), which opened in 1957 and with over 99 000 seats is currently the largest stadium in Europe. Camp Nou record attendance was when it still had a standing area: on 5 March 1986 a mind boggling 120 000 spectators watched the European Cup quarter-final against Juventus at Camp Nou. Due to the Catalan independence conflict with the central government, Camp Nou attendances have been recently affected. Other cool facts about Camp Nou: it served as concert stage for such artists as Michael Jackson, U2 band, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, among others.
